Charity Trek to the High Peaks: Historic Shelters of the Sierra Nevada
25th of July 2020
100% of the funds raised by this trek will go towards aiding the Historic Shelters of the Sierra Nevada.
This activity gives you the opportunity to discover the fantastic mountaineering offered by the High Peaks of the Sierra Nevada.
This trek offers you a taste of the outstanding natural and cultural heritage harboured within these mountains. Our activities always ensure a respectful attitude towards the environment and the conservation of endemic wildlife, allowing you to enjoy landscapes and wildlife found exclusively in the Sierra Nevada National Park.
Mamut Sierra Nevada’s expert guides alongside members of Atalí Sports Club will accompany you for the duration of the trek.
The principal aim of this trek is to raise awareness about the need for collaboration in the conservation and maintenance of the Sierra Nevada’s various Historic Shelters, with 100% of the excursion’s price being donated to projects contributing to this cause.
In previous years, the funds raised by this trek were donated with excellent results to projects related to the maintenance and restoration of the Sierra Nevada National Park’s Acequias (irrigation canals) de Careo.
